October is national Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which is a great reminder to check ensuring you and your business are doing everything you can to protect your organization. 

We challenge you to take a look at your cybersecurity practices and evaluate if there are any holes. Here are 8 practical security steps you should and need to be taking:

  1. Enable Multi-Factor Authentication
  2. Implement some type of Advanced Threat Monitoring 
  3. Check Microsoft Office licenses 
  4. Implement Security Awareness training and testing for all employees
  5. Develop, practice, modify and update an Incident Response Plan
  6. Develop, practice, modify and update a Disaster Recovery Plan
  7. Purchase Cyber Liability Insurance
  8. Have an ongoing technology plan
