Having greats ideas is awesome. But when it comes down to- it ideas only become great when there is great execution.
When you think about growth and revenue within your organization what is the common denominator of what activates that growth? Most likely you can tie the growth and results to great execution. Growth and revenue are primarily vanity, profit and cash- all which are ultimately produced by solid execution.
Strategy is important to the focus on growth, but the strategy to grow is irrelevant if you do not or can not execute that strategy.
Often times when outsourcing something within your organization, ideas attract you to certain companies or individuals. But challenge yourself not to focus on what a company says they are going to do, but rather the reputation of what they have executed.
Revenue is Vanity. Profit is Sanity. Cash is King.
And execution is the secret sauce.
Ideas are great, but execution is what matters.
